The below policies act in accordance with our set Mission, Vision, and Core Values in order to raise the level of honesty, integrity, accountability, transparency, and effectiveness of our agency so that we may foster excellence and inspire trust. TITLE VI STATEMENT

It is the policy of The Arc of Washington County to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes.  Title VI requires that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color or national origin, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal funds.

The Arc of Washington County strictly forbids and will not tolerate actions that intimidate, threaten, coerce, or discriminate against any individual for the purpose of interfering with any right or privilege secured by Title VI, or because he/she has made a complaint, testified, assisted, or participated in any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing under this policy.

Any person who believes that he or she has individually, or as a member of any specific class of people, been excluded from the participation in, been denied the benefits of, or been otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity, and believes the discrimination is based upon race, color, national origin, gender, age, economic status or limited English proficiency has the right to file a formal complaint.
